Overview:
Macy's Logistics and Operations a division of Macy's Department Stores, including Macy's and Bloomingdale's is currently seeking talented individuals for Manager of Maintenance position.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain building and equipment in clean, optimal, safe running condition while maintaining the lowest possible costs.
- Develop cost effective maintenance, energy consumption, and operational improvements of facility and equipment.
- Develop preventative maintenance and housekeeping programs.
- Purchase supplies, equipment, parts and contracted services.
- Partner with outside regulatory agencies and consultants as needed.
- Provide estimates of cost for major repairs and capital improvements.
- Prepare scope documents and solicit proposals for repair and construction services from third party service providers.
- Budget Planning and management.
- Develop innovative cost effective ideas for improvement to existing material handling systems and create optimal product flow.
- Manage, coach, develop, supervise and provide leadership for all housekeeping and engineering staff to ensure and achieve expected company directed standards
- Develop, manage, and drive recycling revenue and improve process
- Any other responsibilities management deems essential.
Skill Summary:
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills. Responsible for leading and providing direction to a team of hourly associates.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Leadership and negotiating experience
- Facilities management and or engineering skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and manage several processes in a fast paced environment.
- Flexible, team player, willing to work extra hours and Saturdays.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement within the Maintenance/Housekeeping areas and coordinate with vendors to price/procure needed supplies/parts and improve overall facility while maintaining budgeted guidelines.
