Technical Consultant 5*

This is a solutions engineer position focusing on Internet of things architecture and solutions development and deployment in AT&T IoTS organization. As a key resource and partner, technical consultant has life cycle responsibility for customer projects from technical perspective, from pre-sales to post launch operations. Technical consultant Collaborates and contributes to IoTS through initial customer and vendor engagement, ideation, solution design, implementation, validation, and deployment of end to end solutions that meets customer requirement, as well as post-launch technical activities such as troubleshooting, operations review, ongoing service development/optimization.

 
Support Biz Dev and sales teams by leading technical discussions in client and vendor meetings across multiple levels and disciplines to identify business and technical needs, issues and priorities
  • Customer engagement, translate customer requirement into IoTS PD technical requirement
  • Project and program management
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams and customers in the design, implementation, and deployment of end to end solutions
  • Responsible for the end to end service validation, acceptance testing
  • Troubleshooting, consults on technical issues pre- and post-launch.
  • Ownership in technical support through the life cycle of the product/service
  • Provide technical expertise in customer presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications
  • Travel up to 30%

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • In-depth experience in wireless service and architecture design in global IoT space
  • Extensive knowledge/experience on wireless technology (GSM, 3G, LTE, IMS, etc.), network and devices, transport, VPN, IT, billing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with network and device test equipment, excellent troubleshooting skills
  • In-depth knowledge in AT&T wireline services/products (AVPN, etc.)
  • Confident and comfortable with customer, peer, and leadership interaction with excellent communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter, willing to take ownership and drive for deliverables
  • Innovative and think outside of the box
  • Requires travel up to 30%

Education: BS degree with minimum of 5 years of work experience in wireless communications industry


Experience: Typically requires 7- 10 years of experience in engineering or sales.
