MST is currently creating innovative technology solutions to support these experiences and define the future of retailing.  We are seeking a Release Analyst with 3 years of Project Management experience, Release Management experience and/or Release Engineering/Configuration Management. 3 years experience with Oracle applications is preferred. 

Overview:
 

The Release Analyst is responsible for overseeing the coordination and facilitation of the release process; deployment, testing, to guarantee smooth and timely delivery of software products or updates into the non-production environments and their promotion and deployment to the production environment. The Release Analyst oversees the management or day to day aspects of the integration and flow of development, testing, deployment, and support of these systems. In addition the Release Analyst is responsible for coordinating and managing infrastructure changes and upgrades for the non-production and production systems. Perform other duties as assigned.

 
Key Accountabilities: 
 
  • Work to guarantee smooth, predictable and timely delivery of software releases, hardware, patches, upgrades  and/or break/fix updates
  • Create, review, publish and manage release plans, formal release notification, deployment instructions and release notes as needed
  • Work closely with varying business partners, development, quality assurance teams, DevOps groups, IFS and change management for the planning, managing, and implementation of releases
  • Help to identify, create and/or implement processes or products to efficiently manage and enhance the release processes; using a combination of processes, existing tools and enhancements
  • Determine the readiness of each release based on release criteria; quality of release, production environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and back out plans, and risk management plan
  • Manage the triage process of complex build/deployment problems, release and environment issues and bugs in a multi-component environment
  • Consistently demonstrates regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
Skills Summary: 
    • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Business Management or equivalent work experience. Required
    • 3 years Project Management Experience, Release Management Experience and/or Release Engineering/Configuration Management Required
    • Change Control Experience. Required
    • Familiar with version control system (preferably GIT and SVN), incident tracking tools (eg: JIRA) and build/deployment tools (eg: Jenkins, Nexus, Anthill Pro, Udeploy).
    • Ability to read, write, and interpret business and technical documents
