Position Summary:
POSITION OBJECTIVES JLL is seeking an Associate Project Manager – Sustainability in our Atlanta office to support sustainability efforts on high-profile projects with our Project Development Services team. Under the supervision of the Team Lead, the Associate Project Manager (APM) is responsible for guiding project teams through the sustainable design, construction, and operation of real estate projects. • Works as part of the Project Team, assisting with the development of scope and schedule for project work. • Provide superior client service. • Provide superior employee management. • Contribute to the growth of the company. • Enhance own professional and personal skills. • Meet assigned financial targets. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Participate in project meetings, charrettes and presentations 2. Develop and tracking sustainability metrics and goals 3. Complete LEED documentation including plans and calculations 4. Develop technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to clients. 5. Provide written and oral comments and reports to design teams, owners, or contractors 6. Conduct project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to sustainable design specifications, owner expectations and building codes. 7. Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments. 8. Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment. 9. Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects. 10. Conduct and document all weekly meetings. 11. Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP’s. Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation. 12. Coordinate activities of sub-contractors 13. Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors 14. Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials. 15. Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture or related field 1-5 years’ experience in engineering, architecture, construction management, and/or environmental science Accreditation as a LEED AP or specialty area Familiarity with the LEED Online system and technical requirements of credits Knowledge of Architectural, Landscape, Civil and MEP systems and sustainable strategies Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Familiarity with architectural drawings Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed Experience in construction management or real estate preferred Highly organized with strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Familiarity with land use requirements and entitlements 2. Track projects from site selection, construction and closeout 3. Request and review Site Investigation Reports (SIR) 4. Request and review geo-technical, environmental, traffic reports as needed 5. Prepare due diligence reports of site assessments 6. Research, as needed, Municipality site assessment requirements 7. Research, generate and submit Preliminary Site Assessment reports |
