Currently we are seeking an Account Manager (THD Online & Specialty Paints) to join our team. Within our Home Centers channel, we sell a wide range of architectural coatings and sundry items to industry, builders, contractors, and home owners. Join a leading team today!
Responsible for the financial health (P&L) and strategic direction of the account along with the day-to-day interaction with the customer (external and internal), category management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, promotions, field sales initiatives, commercial sales and forecasting supporting The Home Depot (THD) Business.
Primary Accountabilities:
Set and implement the strategic goals for The Home Depot online & specialty paints
On-going category management for product line that includes product positioning and offering at store level
Manage profitability of the products
Develop field sales directives to ensure that the products are sold effectively at store level
Establish and foster relationships with all levels of The Home Depot's Management and various applicable departments (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing) culminating in successful annual line review presentations.
Develop productivity solutions to meet The Home Depot's productivity metric goals
Interact with PPGAF National Accounts marketing team to address Point of Sale (POS) requirements for the online & specialty paint products
Account planning and forecasting
Analyze products and productivity performance
Maximize return on investment of promotional vehicles
Understanding of competitive marketplace (products and programs)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business; MBA preferred
Minimum of (5 to 7) years of account management/sales experience
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated background in business analytics and computer skills
Solid understanding of Marketing (preferably retail/consumer)
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with external and internal customers
Retail experience, especially in home center channel is desirable, not required
