PPG Architectural Coatings is a respected leader in the paint industry. This national position is a key sales driver establishing, maintaining and growing our segment sector business in the Hospitality Segment (hotels, destination resorts, sport venues, convention centers). .
The National Segment role addresses customers’ needs to repaint and maintain existing buildings and monumental projects and others assigned by management. The business is primarily existing buildings but will involve new construction as a mix.
Preference is given to subject matter experts in each specific segment. Those with current contacts will be given additional preference. Prior sales experiences is a must as this is a selling leadership role converting opportunities to revenue.
With national coverage this home based role requires travel up to 70% to ensure long sales cycles are converted in sales. The success of this position will rely on self-driven initiative, navigating ambiguity, and an independent personality. Candidates must embody customer centric communication in person, virtual, and verbal. Tracking projects status is key.
This position is a system approach to selling with strong relationship building skills requiring on-site recommendations, guidance and project meetings with owners, GC, architects, painters, inspectors, and corporate accounts. Strong presentation skills and self-awareness are a must. Proper documentation management is critical.
Although this is a complex sale of premium coatings, we recognize product data can be taught whereas personality and attitude cannot. We will train the rare and unique person with self-management, tenacity and people skills. Natural presenters will be given preference.
This is a target segment within the AF stores and dealer group. It is targeted as a high growth category where the stores and dealer group sees considerable opportunities as a component of the overall commercial market segment. Success with accounts feeds local market sales opportunities for commercial repaints and maintenance sales that are not otherwise accessible locally. A key responsibility is to convert opportunities into sales on a national level. This success relies on building relationships internally and externally to service projects with tight timelines and complex product systems.
Expectations for this role include:

Drive new business sales with BRP accounts and achieve annual sales targets.

Focus on key growth segments and target projects.

Develop the sales strategy to identify, prioritize and target the high potential accounts within target segments.

Work with National Technical Sales Manager to communicate all account information to field sales, stores organization and participating dealers, including specs, local targets, color and pricing information.

Compile all reports required by National Technical Sales Manager on a timely basis.

Maintain accurate records on all accounts and prospects including contacts, call activity and account specs, pricing, colors, reporting requirements, etc.

Coordinate as required with architect managers, corporate accounts, field sales managers and sales reps their roles and requirements on projects.
