Job Overview:
Macy’s Pink Pig retail Sales Associates will be a critical link in ensuring that our customers have a rewarding experience that will keep them coming back to the Macy’s Pink Pig ride year after year. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to demonstrating excellent selling and customer service skills, providing product knowledge to our customers and working as part of a team to meet our objectives.
Essential Functions:
• Greet and make a connection with each customer, actively listen to determine his/her needs and present options to meet those needs.
• Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to up sell the customer
• Maintain Macy’s Pink Pig gift shop selling floor, stock area to present a clean, neat and easy to shop environment
• Follow all loss prevention and safety procedures
• Perform other duties as required
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
• Position schedule is October 3rd - Jan 2nd
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Previous retail sales experience preferred, but not required
Communication Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and manager
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Reasoning Ability:
• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values
Physical Demands:
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Willingness to work outside underneath a tent’
Other Skills:
• Goal- oriented, with a desire to meet and exceed sales and customer service
• Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional standards
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast –paced environment, handling multiple priorities
• Punctuality
Work Hours:
• Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays
