The Manager, eCommerce Stability Management is responsible for leading teams that provide 24x7 infrastructural stability support for macys.com and bloomingdales.com and associated digital channels.
The Manager uses his/her eCommerce technical expertise to guide the team through identification, analysis and resolution of complex customer-facing and non-customer facing problems of large scale, multi-tiered eCommerce retail web sites.
Consults on the broader economic impact of proposed technical solutions, working with MST colleagues as appropriate to develop a solution that strikes an optimal balance between performance, customer service, and cost management.
Uses a broad knowledge of the business and technical system applications to ensure the integrity, stability and systems availability to our customer base.
Builds effective teams through coaching, mentoring and career planning.
Develops cross-functional partnerships.
Supports and upholds the integrity of ongoing methodology and approach for new systems.
Skills Summary:
7-10 years of experience supporting a high trafficked eCommerce site (operations experience a strong plus).
7-10 years of experience leading technology teams in a complex environment.
7-10 years participating in delivering technology projects in a complex environment.
Excellent analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.
Bachelor's Degree preferred and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Key Accountability:
Leads team that provides operational/maintenance support for eCommerce infrastructure using technologies such as WebSphere , JBOSS, Weblogic or SpringDM.
Leads team that conducts troubleshooting and incident management of production and non-production environments.
Leads team that deploys new code and configuration changes to production and non-production environments.
Participates in the transition of project deliverables to operations support.
Coordinates with internal and external partners on operations support and project support.
Negotiation, conflict resolution, time management, crisis management, and meeting facilitation.
Coaches, mentors, manages associates.
Candidates for this role leads the decision making process for incident response, escalation, and resolution.
