Overview:
This seasoned Sr. TIBCO Developer will be responsible for the development and support of applications for a specific area, leveraging expertise and knowledge of multiple systems/customer areas.
This job function is responsible for translating business requirements into well-engineered, tested and deployed application systems that are used by the business as well as supporting these systems while in production.
Positions in this function interface with internal customers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements and are responsible for designing, developing, testing, installing, and deploying the required software applications. Solutions utilize a variety of software technologies and may include new code construction, modifications to existing modules, configuration and/or package implementation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads or plays a leadership role in the technical design of new systems/applications for work type 1 and smaller type 2 projects, working from functional specifications. Directs junior staff in the coding and/or configuration and testing needed to meet documented needs.
- Performs coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
- Monitors the operating efficiency of existing application systems and provides (or arranges for) proactive maintenance. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system. Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
- Provides technical support and leads the effective problem resolution for customer inquiries and to resolve production issues.
- Serves as a coach and mentor to more junior developers. Delegates tasks as appropriate.Leads the development phase of work type 1 and small work type 2 projects, making work assignments and holding staff accountable. Selects tools and methodologies for projects.
- Commits to deliverables for scope of work with customers and/or management. Makes modifications to jobs and schedules for jobs in production.
Skills Summary:
- Working experience in modeling business logic and automating business processes using TIBCO Business Works and EMS messaging.
- Working experience in creating Concepts, Simple Events, Complex Events, DB concept, writing the rules and configuring the backing store in TIBCO BE.
- Expertise in Application Architecture and integration of Web based/n-tier architecture applications.
- Knowledge of EAI messaging standards like Websphere MQ and JMS messaging, using both point-to-point and pub/sub messaging models.
- Working experience in design, development and implementation of enterprise level web based projects.
- Experience in designing the Business State Model, Decision Table using TIBCO Business Events.
- Working experience in EDI, XML, Flat file transactions and communication.
- Working experience in use and deployment of Web Services using SOAP and RESTFUL models.
- Experience with relational databases including DB2, SQL Server and Oracle.
- Working knowledge of system and process monitoring using TIBCO Hawk and TIBCO Administrator.
- Working experience in JAVA.
- Working experience in XML.
- Working experience interfacing with SAP ERP systems
- Good Documentation and Communication skills.
- Effective independent and team player and self-starter with high adaptability to new technologies.
- 8 years experience designing and developing large systems with the following characteristics:
• High Availability
• Scalable performance
• Service oriented
• Loosely coupled integration
- 5 years experience deploying applications and services in J2EE and .NET environments.
- 3 years experience using UML analysis and design techniques, especially use case modeling, sequence diagramming, domain and class diagramming.
- 3 years experience defining and managing system requirements through the system development life cycle.
- Experience in design and development of legacy application integration.
- Experience in large scale systems management techniques.
