Stone Mountain, GA - Macy\'s Logistics\\: Manager of Receiving

 

Overview: Macy’s Logistics and Operations is in search of a talented Manager of Receiving based out of our Stone Mountain facility.


Essential Functions:
• Oversee inbound receiving, unloading of freight and expediting merchandise flow to processing areas
• Insure timely accurate loading of new receipts, transfers, returns and hangers.
• Facilitate questions and resolve problems from carriers.
• Monitor and review expense/budget
• Participate on Six Sigma projects as required.
• Manage, coach develop and provide leadership for associates on a daily basis.
• Create and maintain a safe and friendly working environment.
• Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
• Any other responsibilities management deems essential.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: Bachelors degree preferred

• Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Reasoning Ability: Ability to make sound decisions and manage several processes in a fast paced environment, while the challenging status quo.

• Other skills: Knowledge of PC programs including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Must possess exceptional leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Systems/Technology:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Required (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Management Skills:
Interpersonal competencies to include: integrity and trust, adaptability, leadership, motivation ability, coaching and mentoring skills, and initiative.
Business and intellectual competencies to include: industry understanding of warehouse management,
Ability to successfully supervise/execute multiple projects simultaneously.
