We are seeking a Tibco Administrator. The selected candidate will work independently and with minimal direction provides cross-platform operational support of middleware. Installs and configures products and product upgrades. Performs middleware monitoring and capacity planning. Tunes and improves performance for product. Provides top-level technical consulting to the development teams and senior management as necessary.
 
 
Skill Summary:
  • Strong background in core TIBCO stacks - EMS, Hawk, BW, BE. 
  • Strong java skills and scripting background is required to support expected functions and responsibilities.  
  • 5 – 10 years of admin experience in TIBCO middleware technologies.
  • At least 3 years development experience in relevant middleware technologies.
  • 5 – 10 years of admin experience in relevant middleware technologies. At least 3 years development experience in relevant middleware technologies. (For TIBCO this would be TIBCO Administrator, Business Works, Business Events, EMS, Cassandra Dashboard, Hawk & copybook plugin).
  • Determining solutions for highly complicated issues. MST has a unique environment that requires extraordinary problem solving skills.
  • Preferred candidate would have exposure and experience in

    - automation/scripting languages including unix shell, CD/Chef/Ansible/Ant, python, ruby

    - analytical tools - preferred exposure to Spotfire

    - experience in one or more of other TIBCO products such as Active Space, Streambase, Business Events, Clarity, Business Connect, TIBCO BPM

    - troubleshooting support with understanding of network, hardware, and operating system

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support – serve as subject matter expert on product, includes technical assistance to application developers on Middleware related problems, successfully troubleshoot production issues application developers can’t resolve, may include writing build and deployment scripts, support production implementations, assess and make recommendations of best-practice solutions and/or new middleware and web technologies that will enhance the capabilities of the existing infrastructure, work with other teams to improve security, performance, back-up strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Upgrades/maintenance to product – coordinating installs and testing with the application teams, configures environments. This included patches, fix packs and version upgrades.
  • Monitoring – Monitor middleware performance and availability. Ensure high-availability support for middleware systems ensuring uptime
  • Capacity planning – ensuring load balancing and clustering are optimized.
  • Product tuning.
